OhoPrice editorial review

The Galaxy A71 remains a compelling option for buyers who want a Super AMOLED display without paying flagship prices. Its 6.7-inch panel at 1080 x 2400 (~393 PPI) delivers deep blacks, vibrant colours, and HDR support that LCD screens simply cannot match. The Snapdragon 730G is a proven mid-range performer — smooth for everyday tasks and capable of moderate gaming at medium settings. The quad-camera setup is versatile: the 64 MP wide lens captures detailed shots, the 12 MP ultrawide adds creative range, and the 32 MP selfie camera is among the better front-facing units in this bracket. The 4500 mAh battery is adequate but not exceptional; heavy users may need a top-up by evening. Samsung's update track record for the A-series is decent, though the A71 is several years old now and may have limited remaining support. Verify the exact software version on the unit you buy. The ZTE Nubia Focus Pro 5G costs Rs 7,000 less and offers 5G connectivity, a 108 MP main sensor with OIS, and a massive 256 GB of storage. However, the Nubia's LCD panel cannot compete with the A71's Super AMOLED for colour accuracy and contrast. Samsung's camera processing tends to produce more natural skin tones, while the Nubia's 108 MP sensor benefits from OIS for steadier low-light shots. The A71's Snapdragon 730G outperforms the Unisoc T760 in sustained workloads, though the Unisoc chip is newer and more power-efficient. For media consumption and display quality, the Samsung is the better pick; for raw specs-per-rupee and future-proofing with 5G, the Nubia makes a stronger argument. The Galaxy A71 is an older model — confirm PTA approval and check whether Samsung still provides security patches for this device in Pakistan.
