Our Take: The Tecno Spark 30 at Rs 29,999 is a photography-focused budget phone built around a 64 MP main camera with a large 1/1.73-inch sensor. That sensor size matters: larger sensors capture more light, which means less noise in indoor and evening photos compared to the smaller sensors found in most sub-30,000 PKR phones. The Helio G91 processor is a capable mid-range chip that handles daily tasks and moderate gaming smoothly, and the Mali-G52 MC2 GPU manages titles like Asphalt 9 without excessive frame drops. The 6.8-inch Full HD+ display at 396 PPI produces sharp, detailed visuals, and the 90 Hz refresh rate keeps animations fluid. With 8 GB of RAM, the phone keeps multiple apps alive in the background without constant reloading, and 128 GB of storage provides ample room for photos, videos, and apps. The 13 MP selfie camera with dual-LED flash captures better low-light selfies than the 5 MP and 8 MP front cameras common at this price. Battery capacity at 5000 mAh is standard. At 7.7 mm thin, the phone is one of the slimmest in this segment. This model appeals to buyers who prioritise camera quality, particularly in challenging lighting, and want a sharp display. The Villaon Hyper 100 at Rs 25,999 is Rs 4,000 cheaper but cannot match the Spark 30's camera hardware. The Tecno's 64 MP sensor with its large 1/1.73-inch physical size captures substantially more light and detail than the Villaon's 13 MP unit — the difference is visible in every indoor or evening photo. The Spark 30's Full HD display at 396 PPI also produces sharper text than the Villaon's 720p panel. The Villaon does offer the same 5000 mAh battery and 128 GB storage, but its unnamed processor provides no basis for performance comparison against the Tecno's documented Helio G91. The Spark 30's 7.7 mm thin profile is also noticeably more pocketable than most budget phones. Where the Villaon wins is price: Rs 4,000 is significant savings for buyers who do not prioritise camera quality. For users who want the best camera they can get under Rs 30,000, the Tecno Spark 30 delivers genuine photographic capability; the Villaon meets basic needs at a lower cost for those who do not care about image quality.
