OhoPrice editorial review
Our Take: The Vivo Y15s at Rs 29,499 struggles to justify its price in a market where newer phones offer more for less. The Helio P35 processor is aging — its 12 nm fabrication produces more heat and consumes more power than modern alternatives at this price. The 3 GB of RAM is critically low: Android itself uses roughly 1.5 GB, leaving barely enough for two or three apps to remain open simultaneously. The 32 GB of storage is also below average — after system files, you may have closer to 18 to 20 GB available for your own content. The 6.51-inch display at 270 PPI is acceptable for daily use, and the dual-camera system with a 13 MP main sensor captures passable daylight photos. The 8 MP f/2.0 selfie camera handles basic video calls. The 5000 mAh battery compensates for the processor's inefficiency by providing reliable all-day endurance. At Rs 29,499, this phone asks you to pay more for less processing power, less RAM, and less storage than many cheaper alternatives. This model only makes sense if you specifically want a Vivo phone and can accept its hardware limitations. The Villaon Hyper 100 at Rs 25,999 saves you Rs 3,500 and offers double the storage at 128 GB, 6 GB of base RAM (versus the Vivo's 3 GB), and a larger 6.75-inch display. The Y15s retains an advantage through Vivo's brand trust and established service network in Pakistan, plus its documented Helio P35 provides predictable performance versus the Villaon's unnamed processor. The Vivo's camera system is similar in resolution to the Villaon's 13 MP unit, though the Y15s adds autofocus to its main lens — a practical benefit for sharper shots of moving subjects. Battery capacity is identical at 5000 mAh. For most buyers, the Villaon Hyper 100 delivers substantially more hardware for less money; the Vivo Y15s only makes sense if brand loyalty outweighs the need for adequate RAM and storage. At Rs 29,499, the Y15s is one of the poorest value propositions in this entire list. PTA Note: Older Vivo models may already be PTA-approved, but verify the IMEI on the PTA website before committing to buy.
