How We Check Prices
A plain explanation of what a price on OhoPrice means and what it does not mean.
What a listed price means
A price on OhoPrice is a listed amount recorded for the Pakistan market. It is not a live retailer quote, a reservation, or a promise that a phone is in stock. Retail prices can differ by city, shop, warranty, bundle, and payment method.
How prices are recorded
Prices are collected from Pakistani retail market data and checked regularly. Each recorded price keeps the amount and the date it was observed. Collection is gated: a data feed is only fetched when it is enabled and its terms have been reviewed, and the rules of each site are respected before every fetch.
When two or more valid retailer prices are available for the same model, the market snapshot uses their median and shows the observed range. A single listing is shown as a tracked price, not a market average. Values that are empty, zero, invalid, or extreme are rejected; a rejected update does not replace the last good price.
Specification fields are checked against manufacturer information when available. AI-assisted summaries use structured specifications and computed price facts only, not retailer page text. Generated phone summaries are marked unreviewed until a person checks them, and article drafts require review before publication.
"Last checked" dates
When a phone page shows a last-checked date, that is the date the listed price was last recorded or verified. If a page says the date is not recorded, we have no verified check date for that price. A price with no check date should be confirmed with the seller.
Old prices
We treat a price as stale when it has not been checked for 14 days. A stale label means the listing may no longer match current shop prices. It does not mean the phone is unavailable.
Discontinued phones
A phone marked as discontinued is hidden from current phone listings and search indexing. If it is not listed again within 90 days, we permanently delete the phone and its related price history and snapshots. A complete market scan is required before cleanup; a dry run only previews eligible records.
USD figures
PKR is the reference currency for Pakistan listings. Any other currency field is provided only for rough comparison and is not a separate retailer quote.
Report a wrong price
If a listed price is wrong, tell us the phone page and the price you found. We will review the report and update the record when we can verify it.
