Our Take: The iPhone XR remains appealing if you want a simple, reliable Apple phone with a larger display and a familiar iOS experience. Its A12 Bionic chipset is no longer cutting-edge, but it still handles many everyday tasks comfortably and keeps the phone responsive for light use. The XR’s single camera is modest by today’s standards, yet it is still capable of sharp daylight shots and steady video. This phone is best for people who prioritise a stable Apple interface and a larger screen over modern battery life and high-end specs. Compared with the Honor X9d, the iPhone XR trades a much bigger, newer battery and newer Android hardware for Apple’s familiar ecosystem and support for older iOS apps. The Honor is clearly better if you need modern runtime and updated specs, while the XR is still useful if you want a lower-priced entry into the Apple world. Check PTA’s DIRBS calculator before purchasing to confirm the phone is approved for local use.
