Our Take: The Infinix Hot 40i at Rs 30,999 is designed for buyers who want a high-resolution selfie camera without spending more. The 32 MP front shooter with dual LED flash is a genuine differentiator at this price — it captures noticeably sharper selfies than the 5 MP and 8 MP front cameras found on most sub-32,000 PKR phones, and the flash helps illuminate faces in dim restaurants or evening outings. The 50 MP f/1.6 main camera is also above average for the segment, with the wide f/1.6 aperture allowing more light to reach the sensor, which improves indoor and low-light photography compared to f/2.2 lenses. The Unisoc T606 is a 12 nm chip that performs adequately for browsing and social media, though it is not a gaming processor — expect sluggish frame rates in anything beyond basic titles. The 6.6-inch display at 269 PPI with 90 Hz refresh provides smooth scrolling, but the 480-nit peak brightness means outdoor visibility suffers in direct sunlight. With 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, the phone offers decent multitasking room and generous file space. The 5000 mAh battery is standard for the class. This phone makes the most sense for social media enthusiasts and content creators on a budget. The Itel A100 at Rs 27,999 costs Rs 3,000 less and brings a more powerful Unisoc T7250 processor and a larger 6.74-inch display to the table, but it cannot match the Hot 40i's camera credentials. The Infinix's 32 MP selfie camera with dedicated flash is a category-leading feature that the Itel's 8 MP front shooter cannot replicate, regardless of software processing. The Hot 40i's 50 MP f/1.6 main camera also captures more light and detail than the A100's 8 MP unit, particularly indoors. Where the Itel wins is raw processing power and the extra RAM headroom — its 4 GB physical plus 8 GB virtual memory configuration keeps more apps alive in the background. Display sizes are comparable, though neither phone offers Full HD resolution. For buyers who prioritise camera quality, especially selfies, the Infinix Hot 40i justifies the price difference; for those who care more about app performance and multitasking, the Itel A100 remains the better deal.
