Our Take: The Infinix Smart 6 HD occupies the absolute entry level of the smartphone market at Rs 30,999, and its specs reflect that positioning. The Unisoc SC9863A is built on a 28 nm process — older and less power-efficient than the 12 nm chips found in slightly pricier rivals — which means it runs warm under load and drains the 5000 mAh battery faster than you might expect from a phone with that capacity. The 2 GB of physical RAM is the most critical limitation here: Android itself consumes a large chunk of that, leaving very little for apps. You will notice frequent app reloads when switching between even two or three programmes. The 32 GB of internal storage is also tight; after the operating system and pre-installed apps, you may have closer to 20 GB available for your own files. The 6.6-inch 720p display at 266 PPI is adequate for basic tasks, but the 8 MP rear camera produces soft, noisy images indoors, and the 5 MP selfie camera is strictly for social media thumbnails at best. This phone makes sense only if you need the cheapest possible Android device for calls, texts, and light messaging — do not expect it to handle multimedia or multitasking with any grace. The Itel A100 at Rs 27,999 costs Rs 3,000 less and yet outperforms the Infinix in almost every measurable category. The A100 uses a Unisoc T7250, a significantly newer and more efficient processor, and ships with 4 GB of physical RAM instead of 2 GB, which directly translates to fewer app crashes and smoother switching between tasks. The Itel also doubles the storage to 128 GB, giving you four times the usable space after system files are deducted. Its 8 MP selfie camera matches the Infinix's rear camera resolution, and the 6.74-inch display offers the same 720p resolution. The only area where the Smart 6 HD holds its own is the IPS LCD panel's colour accuracy, which tends to be slightly more natural than the Itel's HD+ screen, though the difference is marginal. For the majority of budget buyers, the Itel A100 delivers substantially more phone for less money.
