Our Take: The Oppo A31 is 2019 hardware, and that age shows in ways that matter. Its 6.5-inch 720p panel is around 270 PPI — acceptable but soft — and the Helio P35 with 4GB of RAM handles messaging and light browsing without complaint but will struggle with modern games. The camera array is the real oddity: a 12MP main with PDAF flanked by a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor, which is a far more flexible setup than the single-lens budgets of its era, though no individual lens is exceptional. The 4230mAh battery is merely okay, but 128GB of storage at 22,999 PKR is genuinely generous, and OPPO's service network in Pakistan is a concrete advantage for a phone this old. Buy it for the brand and storage, not for speed. The Villaon V50s is 1,600 PKR cheaper and newer (December 2025), but its spec sheet is riddled with N/A entries — no display type, no GPU, no dimensions — so the screen is essentially unverifiable. What it lists, it lists worse: an 8MP camera against the A31's 12MP main plus macro and depth sensors, 4000mAh against 4230mAh, and 64GB against 128GB of storage. The Villaon does offer 4GB + 4GB expandable RAM, but that expansion is typically virtual, and virtual RAM on a 1.8GHz octa-core is no substitute for real silicon. If you want a phone whose every spec is documented and a brand that actually exists in Pakistan, the A31 is the reliable choice despite its age; the Villaon only makes sense if you are comfortable buying on faith. Verify the A31's IMEI against PTA's DIRBS — this 2019 model is commonly resold as non-approved grey stock.
