OhoPrice editorial review
Our Take: The Galaxy A14 is a surprisingly well-rounded cheap Samsung because of what it does with its 90Hz screen. A 1080p panel at 400 PPI with a 90Hz refresh rate is the kind of spec you usually pay more for, and it makes the phone feel smoother than its 33,000 PKR price suggests. The 50MP triple camera with a 5MP ultrawide is a genuine step above the entry level, and 6GB of RAM gives the Exynos 850 breathing room. Battery life is a steady full day from the 5000mAh cell, which is unremarkable but dependable. Against the Xiaomi Redmi A5, the A14 is clearly the more premium-feeling device despite costing only about 4,000 PKR more. The Redmi's 720p IPS screen at 260 PPI looks soft next to the A14's FHD 90Hz panel, and its 32MP camera and 4GB base RAM trail the A14's 50MP+5MP setup and 6GB of RAM. What the A5 keeps is a slightly larger 5200mAh battery and a lower entry price. If you can find a few thousand extra rupees, the A14's sharper screen and better cameras are the easiest upgrade you can make in this segment. Check PTA status on the A14's IMEI — 4G budget Samsungs are frequently sold grey-market in Pakistan.
