OhoPrice editorial review

At 59,999 PKR the Galaxy A22 leans on two things few rivals at this price offer: optical image stabilisation on a 48MP main camera and a real 8MP 123-degree ultrawide. That combination matters for anyone who shoots in low light or wants proper wide shots, because OIS steadies handheld photos and the ultrawide covers scenes a lone 50MP main simply cannot. The trade-offs are real, though: the 720x1600 panel works out to only about 274 pixels per inch on a 6.4-inch screen, so text and icons look noticeably softer than on 1080p rivals, and the Helio G80 is an old, entry-level chip that will manage WhatsApp and YouTube but not demanding games. Battery life is the highlight, with a 5000mAh cell that should easily stretch a full day under frugal use. The sensible buyer here values camera versatility and endurance over sharpness and speed, and accepts that a 2021 Samsung is a budget phone, not a gaming phone. The Infinix Hot 60i at 50,999 PKR is 9,000 PKR cheaper and newer (August 2025), with a 120Hz 720p IPS screen, a bigger 5160mAh battery and a 12nm Helio G81 that is a modest step up from the A22's G80. The Samsung answers with the better camera story, a stabilised 48MP main plus an ultrawide and macro versus the Infinix's single 50MP shooter and 8MP selfie, while both phones sit around the same 720p-class sharpness. For overall value, the Hot 60i wins on price, freshness and battery; the A22 only makes sense if the OIS ultrawide camera matters more to you than 9,000 PKR in your pocket. As a 2021 model still being sold in 2026, check the IMEI on PTA's DIRBS for approved status and ask whether the unit carries any warranty.
