Our Take: The Vivo X Fold5 is clearly meant for someone who wants a serious foldable screen experience, not just the novelty of a hinge. Its 8.03-inch internal AMOLED with HDR10+ and very high brightness makes it easier to read outdoors than many other foldables, and the 6000 mAh battery helps the phone live up to its large display without forcing every user to top up early in the evening. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 16 GB of RAM make the phone well-suited for split-screen browsing, email, and multitasking, while the triple 50 MP cameras are strong enough for travel photos and everyday shooting without being gimmicky. Compared with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 12GB, the Vivo X Fold5 is the newer-spec choice with a larger internal canvas and a much larger battery, which matters if you work across multiple apps or watch long videos. The Z Fold 4 still has Samsung’s best foldable software refinements, but the Vivo is better for people who want brighter folding screens and longer on-device stamina.
