Our Take: The HMD Barbie is a 15,999 PKR feature phone whose price is set by branding, not hardware. Underneath the pink shell and Barbie licensing sits a 2.8-inch TFT display (~143 PPI), 64MB of RAM, 128MB of storage, a 0.3MP camera and a 1450mAh battery with a removable cover and Type-C charging. As a phone it is strictly functional — calls, texts and basic media — and its hardware is worth a fraction of the asking price. What you are buying is the brand: a licensed Barbie product aimed at collectors, brand enthusiasts and gift buyers. If the novelty is worth 16,000 PKR to you, fine; as a practical phone, it is vastly overpriced. The VGO TEL Flex 3 costs 1,751 PKR more and utterly outclasses the Barbie: a 6.6-inch 720p smartphone screen against a 2.8-inch feature panel, a 13MP camera with a 5MP front against 0.3MP with none, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage against 64MB/128MB, and a 5000mAh battery against 1450mAh. The Barbie's only real advantages are its iconic design and removable battery. If you want a phone that actually performs, the Flex 3 is the vastly better value for a trivial price difference; the Barbie is a fashion statement first and a phone a distant second. At 16K for a feature phone, confirm the Barbie's authenticity and PTA status — licensed HMD products attract counterfeits.
