OhoPrice editorial review

Our Take: The Oppo A15 3GB at Rs 23,999 is a phone whose slim design is its primary selling point. At just 7.9 mm thin, it is one of the slimmest phones in this batch, sitting comfortably in pockets and hands that thicker competitors cannot match. The Helio P35 processor handles basic tasks — calls, messaging, browsing — without significant issues, though it struggles with gaming and heavy multitasking. The 3 GB of RAM is critically low: Android consumes roughly 1.5 GB on its own, leaving barely enough for two or three apps to remain open simultaneously. The 32 GB of storage is also below average, requiring regular file management. The 6.5-inch display at 269 PPI with 480-nit brightness is adequate for daily use and remains visible outdoors. The triple-camera system with a 13 MP f/2.2 main sensor and PDAF captures reliable daylight photos. The 5 MP selfie camera is basic. The 4230 mAh battery is smaller than the 5000 mAh standard, which means heavy users may need to charge before evening. This phone makes sense only for buyers who specifically want a slim Oppo phone and can accept its memory limitations. The Villaon V50s at Rs 21,399 saves you Rs 2,600 and offers 4 GB of RAM expandable to 8 GB, plus 64 GB of storage — specifications that dramatically outclass the A15's 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage. The Villaon's 4000 mAh battery is also larger than the Oppo's 4230 mAh cell, though the difference is marginal. The A15's slim 7.9 mm profile is its genuine advantage: it fits in pockets and hands that thicker phones cannot, making it the choice for users who prioritise portability. The Oppo's brand also carries better resale value. For buyers who need a small, slim phone above all else, the A15 fills a genuine niche; for everyone else, the Villaon delivers more hardware for less money.
