OhoPrice editorial review

Our Take: The Tecno Pova 2 at Rs 28,999 makes one thing clear from its name: endurance. The 7000 mAh battery is the largest in this entire batch — roughly 40 percent bigger than the standard 5000 mAh cells, translating to potentially two full days of moderate use between charges. For users who travel frequently or spend long hours away from power outlets, this is a genuine game-changer. The Helio G85 processor is a capable mid-range chip that handles gaming and multitasking smoothly, and the Mali-G52 MC2 GPU manages popular titles without excessive heating. With 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, the phone offers a balanced configuration that avoids the memory bottlenecks common in cheaper devices. The 6.9-inch Full HD+ display at 389 PPI with 180 Hz touch sampling rate is responsive for gaming, though the 60 Hz refresh rate means animations are not as smooth as 90 Hz or 120 Hz alternatives. The 48 MP main camera with PDAF captures good daylight images, though the three additional 2 MP sensors contribute little. At 173.3 mm tall and 9.6 mm thick, this is a large, heavy phone — pocketability is not its strength. For battery-focused buyers and gamers, the Pova 2 delivers unmatched endurance. The Samsung Galaxy A05 at Rs 24,999 is Rs 4,000 cheaper and offers 25 W fast charging — a critical feature the Pova 2 lacks. The Pova 2's 7000 mAh battery dwarfs the A05's 5000 mAh cell, but the Samsung's fast charging means you can refill the battery roughly twice as fast when you do plug in. The Galaxy A05's 50 MP main camera also captures more detail than the Pova 2's 48 MP unit, though the difference is marginal. Both phones use the Helio G85 processor, so performance is comparable. The Pova 2's 6 GB of RAM exceeds the A05's 4 GB, keeping more apps alive during multitasking. The A05's lighter, thinner body (168.8 mm vs 173.3 mm) is more pocketable. For users who need maximum battery life and do not mind the extra weight, the Pova 2 is unmatched; those who prefer a lighter phone with faster charging at a lower price will find the Galaxy A05 more practical.
