OhoPrice editorial review

Our Take: The Xiaomi 12 Pro remains a strong value proposition for buyers who want a true flagship display and a polished camera system without splurging on the newest releases. Its 6.7-inch 120Hz 1440p AMOLED screen still looks sharp and premium, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chipset with 12GB of RAM keeps the phone feeling responsive for everyday productivity, streaming, and gaming. The triple 50MP rear camera array makes it a very capable imaging phone, especially with the main sensor's OIS and the dedicated telephoto option. The 4600mAh battery is adequate for moderate use, though it is the one area where the Xiaomi feels less dominant next to newer phones with bigger cells. Against the Vivo V70, the Xiaomi 12 Pro trades some of its flagship silicon and high-resolution screen for a much larger 6500mAh battery and ZEISS-backed camera stabilization on the Vivo. The Vivo V70 is the better choice if you want more endurance and steadier video/shutter performance, while the Xiaomi is stronger for users who prefer a higher-resolution 1440p panel and the cleaner flagship feel of Snapdragon 8 Gen1. In short, choose the Xiaomi 12 Pro for sharper display and a more conventional premium flagship package, and choose the Vivo V70 if battery life and stabilized camera shots are the priority.
