OhoPrice editorial review

Our Take: The Infinix Hot 20i at 37,999 PKR is a tough sell in a crowded market. Its Helio G25 processor is one of the weakest chips available at this price point, and with only 4 GB of RAM, the phone will slow down noticeably when you switch between more than three or four apps. The 6.6-inch display offers a 500-nit peak brightness that helps outdoors, but the 720p resolution at 267 PPI is below average for phones costing under 40,000 PKR. The 13 MP f/1.8 main camera performs adequately in bright conditions, and the 5,000 mAh battery should comfortably last a full day. Storage is generous at 128 GB. However, the phone's processing power and display resolution do not justify the asking price, especially when newer alternatives with faster chips exist at similar or lower costs. This model is best suited for buyers who need a basic Infinix handset with large storage and are not concerned about gaming or heavy multitasking. Samsung's Galaxy A07 at 34,999 PKR offers a compelling alternative. It uses the MediaTek Helio G99, a significantly faster and more power-efficient 6 nm chip compared to the Hot 20i's older 12 nm Helio G25. The Galaxy A07 also supports 25 W wired charging, which the Infinix lacks, meaning less downtime when the battery runs low. Both phones share a 5,000 mAh capacity, so real-world endurance is comparable, but the Samsung's newer processor squeezes more life per charge cycle. Where the Hot 20i has an edge is raw RAM at 4 GB versus the base A07's 4 GB (though a 6 GB variant exists). Camera quality is a wash: Samsung's 50 MP main sensor captures more detail in daylight than the Infinix's 13 MP unit. For most buyers, the Galaxy A07 is the smarter purchase despite the lower price, delivering better performance and a more future-proof processor. PTA Note: Ensure the device is PTA-approved to avoid surprise activation charges when inserting a Pakistani SIM card.
