OhoPrice editorial review
The Galaxy A52s at 65,999 PKR is the rare 2021 phone whose price makes sense in 2026, thanks to the Snapdragon 778G 5G and the display. The 6.5-inch 1080x2400 panel resolves to about 405 pixels per inch at 120Hz, so it is both sharp and smooth, and the 64MP main camera with OIS plus a 12MP ultrawide makes it a genuinely capable all-rounder, with stabilisation that gives steady low-light shots unstabilised 50MP sensors cannot match. The 4500mAh battery is the weakest link, adequate for a day but unremarkable, and older midrange silicon draws more power than newer 6nm chips. With 8GB RAM and 256GB storage it is comfortable for multitasking, and the 32MP selfie camera is well above the midrange norm. This is a balanced phone for buyers who want Samsung's polish, 5G and a quality display without flagship prices. Against the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 at 57,999 PKR, the A52s is the more rounded device but costs 8,000 PKR more. The Redmi counters with a 5500mAh battery against the A52s's 4500mAh, a brighter 1800-nit AMOLED, a higher-resolution 108MP main camera and a January 2025 launch with fresher software. The A52s strikes back with the 778G's 5G support and better sustained performance, a stabilised 64MP camera, an extra 12MP ultrawide and macro lens, and a much stronger 32MP selfie camera. Choose the A52s if you value smoothness, 5G and camera versatility; choose the Note 14 if battery life, brightness and a newer phone matter more at a lower price. Confirm PTA-approved status via DIRBS, since a 2021 unit is often imported second-hand and battery health should be checked before paying.
