Our Take: The Vivo Y29 is appealing for buyers who want a huge battery and a large amount of storage in an affordable package. Its 6500mAh cell means this phone should last through heavy use, and the 8GB/256GB combination is generous for the segment. The main downside is the 720p screen density, which makes text and fine details less crisp than on higher-resolution rivals. Compared with the Tecno Spark 40, the Vivo Y29 delivers more storage and a brighter ring-flash camera setup, while the Tecno still wins with a lower price and a newer release profile. If you want a phone that can store plenty of apps and last long on a single charge, the Vivo is the better option; if you are focused on cost and a fresher model, the Tecno is worth considering.
