Our Take: The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is the compact flip phone that is easiest to slip into a pocket or small bag, and its 6.7-inch main display feels surprisingly usable once opened. The 3700 mAh battery is the main thing to watch, since it is smaller than most modern flagships, but if you value portability and the convenience of a 3.4-inch cover display for notifications, this is a rare combination. The dual 12 MP rear cameras are modest, but they are enough for everyday snapshots and video calls. Compared with the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2, the Flip 5 is the more portable choice and better for quick one-handed use, while the Tecno offers a much larger 7.85-inch internal screen and a stronger battery for productivity. If you want a compact foldable that disappears into your pocket, choose the Flip 5; if you want the largest unfolded screen and longer endurance, choose the Phantom.
