The Xiaomi 15 Ultra at 399,999 PKR is a photography statement of intent: a 1.0-inch-type main sensor, which is huge for a phone and captures vastly more light than typical 1/1.3-inch sensors, joined by a 50MP 3x telephoto, a 200MP periscope with 4.3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide. That is the most complete camera system in the catalogue, and it shows in low light, portraiture and long-range shots. The 6.73-inch 1440x3200 display at about 521 PPI with 3200 nits peak is reference-class, the Snapdragon 8 Elite with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is top-spec, and the 5410mAh battery is strong. The price is the only real obstacle — 400,000 PKR is a lot, and you are paying a premium for camera hardware most buyers will only partially use. For serious photographers and content creators, it is arguably the best imaging phone money can buy in Pakistan right now. The Apple iPhone 17 Air at 479,999 PKR costs 80,000 PKR more and is the anti-15-Ultra. The iPhone is built around thinness — a 5.6mm profile that is remarkable in hand — and uses a single 48MP camera and an 18MP front with a 3149mAh battery, the smallest in this comparison by a wide margin. The 15 Ultra annihilates the iPhone on camera versatility (four lenses and a 4.3x periscope against one), battery (5410mAh against 3149mAh), storage (512GB against 256GB) and screen sharpness, and it does all of it for 80,000 PKR less. The iPhone 17 Air answers with the A19 Pro, iOS, and a design that is genuinely unique. If photography and value matter, the 15 Ultra is the obvious choice; the 17 Air is only for buyers prioritising style, weight and the Apple ecosystem over capability. At 400,000 PKR, PTA approval is non-negotiable — verify the IMEI on DIRBS and keep the taxed invoice for warranty and resale.
