Our Take: The Xiaomi Mix Flip is one of the most hardware-rich clamshells in this batch, thanks to its large 6.86-inch AMOLED main screen, 4.0-inch external display, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 performance. The 4780 mAh battery is more generous than most flip phones, which should make it a better option for longer messaging and streaming sessions. The dual 50 MP camera setup gives you extra detail over the typical 12 MP flip phone cameras, so it is appealing if you care about photography in a compact foldable. Compared with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, the Xiaomi Mix Flip is the more powerful hardware package with a newer chipset, a larger battery, and a more ambitious rear camera setup. The Flip 5 still offers Samsung’s polished foldable software and a very compact feel, but the Mix Flip is the stronger pick if you want higher-end specs and better imaging in a flip design.
