The Oppo A96 at 77,999 PKR struggles against the 2026 market. Its Snapdragon 680 4G and 8GB/128GB setup is entry-midrange hardware from 2022, while the price asks upper-midrange money. The 6.59-inch 1080x2412 panel at about 401 PPI with a 90Hz refresh is sharp and smooth, and the 5000mAh battery is dependable. Camera-wise, the dual setup of a 50MP main plus a 2MP lens is unremarkable, and the listing's second lens at f/1.2 is a spec anomaly worth questioning, since such an aperture on a depth sensor is unusual, so verify what that secondary camera actually is. The 16MP selfie is fine. The honest framing: this is a well-built, reliable Oppo with a good display and battery, but you are paying a substantial premium for the brand at a price where competitors deliver faster chips, AMOLED screens and bigger batteries. The Samsung Galaxy A17 at 67,499 PKR is 10,500 PKR cheaper and better on nearly every count. The A17 has a Helio G99 that clearly outclasses the A96's Snapdragon 680, an AMOLED 90Hz display against the A96's panel, a 2025 release date, a 50MP main with a proper 5MP ultrawide, and a 13MP selfie. The A96's only meaningful edges are its 8GB RAM baseline versus the A17's 6GB entry tier and the slightly sharper 401 PPI. Paying 10,500 PKR extra for a slower, older phone with fewer lenses is hard to recommend; the A17 is the better purchase unless the A96 is discounted substantially. Check the A96's IMEI on PTA's DIRBS and ask the seller about that unusual f/1.2 second lens, a spec worth confirming before you buy.
