OhoPrice editorial review

The Galaxy A23 at 78,499 PKR is one of the harder value stories in this batch. It pairs a 1080x2408 panel of about 400 PPI with only a 60Hz refresh rate, so the sharpness is fine but scrolling and animations feel dated against the 90Hz and 120Hz screens common at this price. Inside is the 2022-era Snapdragon 680 4G with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, fine for calls, social media and light apps, but slow for gaming and without 5G. The camera is genuinely useful, a 50MP main, 5MP ultrawide, macro and depth lens, plus a basic 8MP selfie, and the 5000mAh battery delivers dependable day-long life. Samsung's brand, service network and clean One UI are the real selling points, so this suits buyers who want a known name and reliability over raw specs. At this price, though, most people are paying for the logo. The Infinix Hot 60 Pro Plus at 69,999 PKR is both 8,500 PKR cheaper and dramatically better specced: a 144Hz AMOLED that peaks at 4500 nits, a 6nm Helio G200, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, a 5160mAh battery and a September 2025 release. The A23's only real advantages are the quad rear camera (50MP plus ultrawide and macro versus the Infinix's single 50MP) and Samsung's after-sales footprint. Unless the Samsung brand is a firm requirement, the Hot 60 Pro Plus delivers a faster, brighter, fresher phone for less money, and the A23's 60Hz screen makes that gap impossible to ignore in daily use. At nearly 78,500 PKR for a 2022 model, verify the IMEI on PTA's DIRBS and confirm whether the price reflects PTA approval before committing.
